USES: Sparsely branched, slightly hairy annual with alternate, narrowly lance-shaped to narrowly elliptic, deeply toothed, pale green leaves, 2.5-9cm long. From summer to early autumn, cup-shaped, hooded, pink, red, purple, or white flowers, 2.5-5cm across, are produced either singly in the leaf axils or in small clusters of 2 or 3.
