FAMILY: Vinca
USES: Strong and continual flowering. Border plant, edging plant, in containers, hanging baskets, ground cover, around pools, courtyards and under canopied trees.
SIZE: Grows 30 – 60cm tall with an equal spread.
LOCATION: Full sun light partial shade. Well adapted to both humid coastal areas and hot dry interior regions.
SOIL: Prefers an organically enriched fertile soil with a pH 5.6 – 7.8, acidic to mildly alkaline. Will show leaf chlorosis if soil is too alkaline or saline.
FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 10:20:10 NPK every two months together with Fe chelate and seaweed as a soil drench in spring and autumn.
WATER: Keep soil moist. Moderately drought tolerant for very short periods only. Does not accept over irrigation or waterlogging.
