‘Yellow Allamanda’
FAMILY: Allamanda
USES: Flower display and tropical flowering. Does well as a shrub, hedge, foundation plant, container plant, around pools, sheltered patios, courtyards and in moon gardens.
SIZE: Grows 1 – 2m tall with a 2-3m spread as a shrub or up to 6m tall if supported as a vine at a rate of 2-3m p/a or more.
LOCATION: Full sun to partial shade. Does not accept reflected heat. Does well in coastal areas and requires some protection from hot dry desert winds. Provide protection to the roots from midsummer sun.
SOIL: Best in an organically enriched fertile soil with a pH 5.6 – 7.5, acidic to neutral. Will show leaf chlorosis if soil is too alkaline or saline.
FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 10:20:10 NPK every 3-4 months untilestablished. Annualy thereafter.
WATER: Keep soil moist. Water well during the growing period.
