FAMILY: Cestrum

USES: Strongly scented night flowers. Does well as a decorative shrub, hedge, en masse, in pots, containers and planters. Often seen in courtyards, pools and other intimate areas.

SIZE: Grows 1.5 – 2m tall with a 1.2 – 1.8m spread at a rate of 60cm – 1m p/a.

LOCATION: Light partial shade best. Does well in coastal areas but struggles in the hotter desert locations

SOIL: Best in an organically enriched fertile free draining soil with a pH 6.1 – 7.5, mildly acidic to neutral.

FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 10:20:10 NPK annually in spring.

WATER: Prefers a consistently moist soil. Does not accept over irrigation or waterlogging.
