USES: Leafy tropical effect and flower display. Does well in intimate areas and in borders, containers, shade areas, around pools, courtyards and under canopied trees.

SIZE: Grows 30cm – 1.2m tall with a 1m spread.

LOCATION: Best in light partial shade but will take full sun if given ample water. Does not do so well in midsummer in the desert areas or in strong, hot, dry desert winds.

SOIL: Prefers an organically enriched free draining fertile soil with a pH 5.6 – 7.5, acidic to neutral.

FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 14:14:14 NPK every four months if grow in pots. Use a 19:6:12 NPK annually if grown in the ground.

WATER: Keep soil moist. Moderately drought tolerant for very short periods only. Does not accept over irrigation or waterlogging.
