FAMILY: Hamelia
USES: Native to American subtropics and tropics. Semi-woody evergreen shrub, leaves are elliptic to oval, about 15cm long. Clusters of bright reddish-orange or scarlet tubular flowers, 1.9cm long. Fruits are dark red berry. Grows well in summer.
