Coral Vine’
FAMILY: Antigonon
USES: Flower and fast growth. Often used on pergolas, trellises, arbours, south or west facing walls or on fences and as a living accent on trees.
SIZE: Grows 9 – 12m tall in one season. Indefinite spread if given the opportunity.
LOCATION: Full sun and reflected heat to partial shade. Some protection is required from very strong, hot dry desert winds.
SOIL: Best in an organically enriched free draining fertile soil with a pH 6.1 – 7.8, mildly acidic to mildly alkaline. Will show leaf chlorosis if soil is too alkaline or saline.
FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 20:10:5 NPK with trace elements annually in spring.
WATER: Keep soil moist. Water well during the growing period. Do not over irrigate.
