‘Sesevium’
FAMILY: Sesuvium
USES: Groundcover in hot dry areas. A very strong green plant that does well en masse, in large borders, pots or containers, around streams, lakes, beach front locations and green walls. A great pioneer plant.
SIZE: Grows up to 15 – 30cm tall with an indefinite radial spread at a rate of about 2m p/a.
LOCATION: Full sun and reflected heat to partial shade. Does very well in coastal areas and the interior regions. Accepts direct sea wind.
SOIL: Best in a sandy, organically enriched fertile open soil with a pH 6.1 – 8.5, mildly acidic to alkaline.
FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 19:6:12 NPK in spring and autumn.
WATER: Prefers regular light irrigation. More water leads to faster growth.
