FAMILY: Wedelia
USES: Grown for its continual flowering and strong green foliage. Does well as a bedding plant, groundcover, en masse, in borders, pots, hanging baskets, window boxes, planters or containers.
SIZE: Grows up to 35cm tall with a 2m spread. Fast growing.
LOCATION: Full sun to partial shade. Will take direct sea wind or hot, dry desert wind given regular irrigation.
SOIL: Best in an organically enriched free draining fertile soil with a pH 5.6 – 7.8, acidic to mildly alkaline.
FERTILISER: Apply a slow release 13:13:13 NPK annually in spring. Over fertilisation will lead to overgrown planting.
WATER: Keep soil moist. Over irrigation or waterlogging will lead to root rot and possible fungal problems.
